We are recruiting a Senior Accountant in the Social Care Finance Department. The role will be responsible to oversee and manage the Home Care and Direct Payments budgets of £31.5m in Adults Social Care and their key financial processes, including budget setting, in-year monitoring and closure of accounts. Ensure significant issues are raised with senior management with recommendations for corrective action. To advise services and managers on self-service, financial governance and delegations and ensure adherence to the Council’s financial regulations. To assist in the provision of professional financial advice and analysis to support the Council’s strategic plans and Medium-Term Financial Strategy process. Provide financial modelling on Home Care when the service is retendered and support the department on the reforms plans within ASC.

We have a hybrid working model and staff will be supported to do this with mobile IT equipment and hot desk facilities in all offices across the borough.
