Recently awarded Aberdeen City & Shire Hospitality Employer of the Year, as well as 2 Michelin Keys, and rated number 1 by Conde Naste Readers Choice, The Fife Arms Hotel, located in the village of Braemar in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is recruiting an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join the team!
As Pastry Sous Chef r, you will support the Executive Chef and Head Chef in their duties to ensure the smooth running of pastry section to the highest standards.
You will work with our Executive Chef and Head Chef to create and develop dishes and menus for both the Clunie Dining Room (Afternoon Tea and Dinner) and Flying Stag Pub, as well as event spaces, using the very best of local and national natural resources and ingredients.
As Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the Pastry section of the kitchen.
- Demonstrating a committed approach to the development of creative menus and service in the Pastry section of the kitchen.
- Ensuring the quality of food is of the exceptional standard expected when dining at the hotel.
- Training and delegation of tasks to the junior members of the team.
- Preparing orders on a daily basis, whilst keeping in mind stock usage, menu planning and business levels.
- Ensuring the cleanliness, stock control, organisation, and standards of the Pastry section of the kitchen.
Our successful Pastry Sous Chef will have:
- Proven experience from within a similar luxury hospitality environment.
