Robert Walters are excited to be representing a highly successful, multimillion pound revenue, global retail organisation, who due to continued business growth, are seeking a Finance Manager to join their Finance team. This role plays a pivotal part in driving the monthly close of the management accounts, ensuring full compliance with external audits, and business partnering with key stakeholders across finance and wider business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a large dynamic team that requires regular coaching, training, and mentoring. What you'll do:
- Drive the month end timetable on a monthly basis to enable a smooth month end close.
- Ensure full compliance with management and statutory reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Perform monthly reviews for your own individual business unit.
- Actively participate in all audit planning meetings.
- Drive a cultural change and performance improvement agenda across Finance.
- Develop financial processes, procedures, and controls to support organic and inorganic growth plans.
- Continuously review and develop finance processes and procedures to improve internal controls.
- Mentor and develop direct reports to support delivery of objectives.
What you bring:
- Strong background in driving the closing of monthly management accounts.
- Proficient user of SAP (preferred).
- Line management experience.
- Track record of continual improvement and ability to drive business transformation.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation.
- Ability to build alliances, challenge and influence positively without formal authority.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel.
