About All Souls Serve the City (ASSTC): All Souls Serve the City was founded in January 2021, bringing various different projects serving our most vulnerable neighbours into one brand new CIO. This allows us to run and govern each project with excellence, and in time will allow us to incubate new projects which serve more people in need in our community. Our goal is to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Our current projects are:
- ASLAN - ASLAN serves the practical, mental and spiritual needs of those who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
- Children and Families - we aim to champion the well-being of children and families at our Church of England school.
- Senior Care - Serving senior members of our local community through our befriending scheme and weekly lunch club.
- Tamar - Tamar is a team of volunteers who aim to restore hope to people exploited in the sex industry.
About the Role: The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the overall management and development of our fundraising work and stabilising income streams for ASSTC, which is currently focussed on individual giving and grant funding. They will also contribute to the development of new income streams through growing our major donor pool, expanding our grantors, and initiating legacy giving.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all the fundraising for ASSTC to achieve agreed-upon annual fundraising targets, paying particular attention to the General Fund.
- Work with each of the Ministry Heads to enable them to have a good understanding of the fundraising process and support them to achieve ministry-specific fundraising targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with new donors, new grantees, and community supporters, providing fundraising materials, encouragement and follow-up.
- Oversee and use Donorfy to record fundraising actions and manage an efficient and appropriate system for acknowledgements and thank yous.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
Minimum qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Fundraising or equivalent work experience.
- Proven fundraising experience, ideally within individual giving and community fundraising (i.e. grants and foundations).
- Experience devising cultivation and solicitation strategies and successfully managing a portfolio of senior-level prospects.
- Experience writing effective and convincing grant applications and requests.
- Strong project management and administration skills, preferably in the charity sector.
- Fully committed to the evangelical Christian stance and mission of All Souls Serve the City and All Souls Church and the Evangelical Alliance’s statement of faith.
