We're currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join a variety of vibrant and inclusive schools across North London. These schools are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role: As a SEND TA, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD)
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to tailor learning activities
  • Help manage behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils with personal care, emotional regulation, and communication, where required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care settings, or similar)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Desirable but not essential:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma, or SEN-specific training)
  • Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, or other specialist training
