Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with a Regional Main Contractor who are expanding their successful team with the recruitment of a new Social Value Manager covering their East Anglian region. The company has a very good staff retention rate, with numerous examples of professionals who have been with the business many years including many of the senior leadership team. With a clear structure and programme in place for their employees' personal development, this role is to lead the Social Value function in the region and work closely with the wider construction team.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be working with both the Pre-Construction and Operations teams leading Social Value activities, strategies and their implementation. The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Create innovative ways to deliver social value and have a positive impact in communities which the business works.
  • Facilitate, attend and organise presentations and events in local community settings such as schools, hospitals, community centres etc.
  • Collating of data to measure social outcomes.
  • Sourcing information for construction project tenders e.g. 3rd party/client employment strategies.
  • Arranging local work experience and academic opportunities in the communities in which the business builds projects.

Desirable Experience:

  • Confident communication with previous experience working in Social Value.
  • Software: Microsoft Packages and Social media platforms including LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Experience working in the Construction industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Previous Roles: Social Value Manager or Social Value Coordinator or Social Value Lead or Client Liaison Manager or Community Manager.

Qualifications & Skills: 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades A*-C (4-9) or equivalent.
