Kinetic are seeking to recruit experienced Plater Fabricators for a permanent role in Portsmouth. The roles are PERMANENT and pay £34,460 p.a on DAYS working Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.15pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm.
The role will be undertaken out on vessels that are either alongside, in dry dock, under deep maintenance or in hangers and workshops.
Projects will include fabricating new structures, removing and replacing decks and bulkheads for engine and equipment repairs and modifications, this includes light and heavy fabrication work. Working from drawings through to manufacture.
Skills & Experience:
- Have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship, naval equivalent qualifications, or qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in an associated Trade)
- Experience in light and heavy fabrication (plating)
- Be competent in working from drawings using a wide range of hand tools and equipment.
- Industry Experience - Marine, Oil & Gas, Heavy Construction, Rolling Stock.
- Prepared to work at heights and confined spaces.
The role attracts a base salary of £34,460 pa. In addition, the position includes a generous employment package.
