The Role

We’re looking for a Mobile Legionella Plumber to join our Environmental team. In this role, you will carry out Legionella plumbing services, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and remedial works across various commercial and industrial contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete remedial actions in line with ACOP L8, BS6700, and Water Supply Regulations.
  • Install and maintain Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMVs).
  • Disconnect/reconnect electrics for water heater repairs/replacements.
  • Remove deadlegs (redundant pipework) and unwanted water services.
  • Insulate water storage tanks and associated pipework.
  • Reconfigure pipework within cold water storage tanks.
  • Install/replace ball valves and fix new tank lids.
  • Fit insect and rodent screens on cold water storage tanks.
  • Carry out cleaning, disinfection, and relining of water storage tanks.
  • Install new thermostats on hot water cylinders.
  • Produce accurate reports on works carried out.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified Plumber with NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds in Plumbing.
  • Experience in Legionella prevention and water management.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience with remedial works on tanks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be physically fit (work in attic spaces/tank rooms required).

Desirable:

  • Health & Safety training.
  • Legionella Awareness Certification.
  • Specialist training in water treatment systems.
  • Experience in maintenance duties, including fault diagnosis.
