Castlefield Recruitment is delighted to be working with a fast growing specialist Healthcare Provider, who are committed to delivering the highest quality patient care. The successful Patient Administrator will oversee the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments, consultations, and surgical bookings for procedures. Understanding a smooth and efficient patient journey, from initial inquiry to post-surgical aftercare is essential for the post.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the patient booking process, ensuring a seamless experience from consultation to surgery.
- Schedule initial inquiries, consultations, pre-operative assessments, and surgical appointments with precision.
- Oversee, reply to and record all enquiries across various social media and online platforms.
- Work closely with consultants, surgeons, and medical staff to optimize scheduling and operating theatre efficiency.
- Monitor appointment availability and manage cancellations or reschedules promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GDPR and confidentiality regulations.
- Process bookings, invoices, and payments, ensuring accurate billing and financial tracking.
- Assist with credit control, ensuring all patient accounts are up to date.
- Manage onward referrals for additional treatments, diagnostics, or follow-up appointments.
Essential skills/qualifications:
- Private Healthcare experience is essential.
- Experience in patient coordination, within a surgery or private healthcare setting.
- Strong administrative and secretarial skills, with experience handling surgical bookings, including enquiries, queries and aftercare concerns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
