A well-established not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Procurement Officer to deliver an efficient, high-quality procurement service. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tender process across a wide range of goods, services, and works. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure contracts are procured in a compliant, effective, and commercially sound manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage procurement processes, including frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems (DPS)
  • Draft and publish clear, concise tender documentation and contract notices
  • Oversee tendering activity via an online procurement portal
  • Evaluate supplier submissions, including complex pricing data and commercial offers
  • Carry out financial credit checks and risk assessments on suppliers
  • Provide procurement advice and guidance to internal teams
  • Support mini-competitions and contract awards
  • Keep up to date with procurement best practices and market trends

About You

You are proactive, detail-driven, and commercially aware, with experience in managing formal tendering processes. You will be confident working across multiple projects, building strong internal and external relationships, and ensuring procurement activity aligns with wider organisational goals.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in tendering for goods, works, or services
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier evaluation
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident in engaging with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels
