This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UKI Finance Leadership Team, reporting directly to the UKI CFO. In this role, you will actively partner with the Managing Directors of our EMS and EDQ Business and their leadership teams, leading the financial direction across the segment. As a member of the UKI Finance Leadership Team, you will also play a key role in driving the finance function and business strategy across a broad range of topics.
Who are EMS and EDQ?
- Experian Marketing Services (EMS): Helps businesses better understand and manage customers, understand their markets, and allocate resources more effectively.
- Experian Data Quality (EDQ): The market leader in data cleansing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive long-term strategy through organic and inorganic actions, commercial decision-making, and achieving financial commitments (Revenue, EBIT, Capex, DBO days).
- Oversee the overall financial direction and control across the segment.
- Present cyclical and bespoke financial analysis to senior management.
- Champion finance process improvements, such as enhancing forecasting, bid governance, project accounting, and contract management.
- Lead a team of finance professionals, attracting, developing, and motivating talent to build an engaged and high-performing team.
- Understand the global finance strategy and ensure alignment within the segment and wider UKI Finance teams.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an overseas equivalent).
- Strong commercial understanding of varied business models and principles.
- Confidence to challenge commercial decisions.
- Strong conviction, particularly in times of ambiguity.
- Enthusiasm and desire to propel the businesses forward.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work through people to achieve results in a matrix environment.
- A natural flair for building relationships with a range of stakeholders across segments and function groups.
- Ability to influence senior leadership (both finance and non-finance), underpinned by an ability to present ideas and opinions in a collaborative, credible, and compelling manner.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with service excellence at the core.
- Creativity in developing new solutions and approaches.
- Strong people leadership skills.
