Your Requirements:
The Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring a friendly welcome, a departure greeting and the seating of all guests. The Host/Hostess also answers phones in a polite and prompt manner with appropriate scripting and records all reservations into the reservation system. The Host/Hostess plays an integral part of the flow and pace of our dining service.
As a Host/Hostess we would love you to have:
– At least 1 year of front of house experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
– Availability to work evenings, weekends and most holidays
– Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
– Answer phones in a prompt manner with appropriate scripting
– Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers'; concerns are addressed
– Direct guests to cloakrooms and waiting areas such as Bar and/or lounge
– Must have a professional and well-groomed appearance, as he/she is the first impression of the restaurant
– Ability to multi-task and follow directions
– Flexibility in scheduling strongly preferred
