We are looking for the Integration and Test Engineer – Software to join our team based in London, UK. The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed. By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write test scripts and UI software to support test jigs for robotic subsystem testing.
- Collaborate with robot software engineers to develop and integrate APIs for testing and validation purposes.
- Maintain and update test software configurations to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot and maintain software systems for robotic subsystems, ensuring that issues are quickly identified and resolved.
- Develop and execute test plans for verifying software functionality, integration, and system-level performance.
- Work closely with hardware and mechanical engineers to ensure that testing reflects real-world robotic functionality.
- Document test procedures, configurations, and results to ensure reproducibility and improve testing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong experience with software development for robotic systems, including writing test scripts and maintaining test software.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, as well as experience with test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with software integration, APIs, and working with hardware interfaces in robotic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in software and system integration issues.
