Boyd Recruitment are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and deliver cutting-edge EV charging infrastructure projects across Manchester. This is a contract position, ideal for a proactive professional with a background in electrical construction and a passion for sustainable energy.

Location: Manchester (with site visits across the region including Chester)

Contract Length: Initial 6 months (with potential extension)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of EV charging projects – from planning and procurement to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and local authorities to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Manage site HSE compliance, quality control, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with DNO.
  • Provide leadership to site teams and ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing electrical infrastructure or EV charging projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations and NICEIC standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and site drawings.
  • Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
  • ECS / CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent certification (preferred).
