I’m on the hunt for a freelance Social Media Manager to help launch something unexpected and cool! This project is working on a high impact, Gen Z targeted launch for a well-known music brand, and I’m looking for someone who’s equal parts strategic thinker, creative spark, and social trend hawk.
THE ROLE:
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months (potential to extend)
- Days: 3 days/week (2 days onsite in Kingston-upon-Thames)
- Day Rate: £300/day (outside IR35)
DAY TO DAY:
- Manage day to day content planning and scheduling for Instagram and TikTok
- Collaborate with creatives to bring bold, thumb-stopping ideas to life
- Write engaging, platform native copy that sounds like Gen Z and scrolls like a dream
- Source and brief creators, influencers, and content partners
- Lead on community management; respond, engage, and build genuine connections
- Spot and jump on trends before they peak; you know what’s viral before it’s viral
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all social touchpoints
- Liaise with internal and client teams to keep everyone aligned and excited
ABOUT YOU:
- Proven experience running social for lifestyle, beauty, music, or youth brands
- Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok features, formats, audiences
- Creative thinker with a strong visual sense and eye for detail
- Confident using tools like Later, Planoly, or similar scheduling platforms
- Obsessed with emerging trends, pop culture, and what’s next on social
- Comfortable juggling fast turnarounds and collaborating in an agile team
