About the College/Department

The Digital Learning and Online Content (DLOC) team is part of the Provost Learning and Teaching Department and has responsibility for delivering excellence in Digital and Online Learning at the University. The Digital Learning Development Team has responsibility for the continual enhancement and assurance of Digital Learning & Digital Practice across the institution as guided by the University Digital Learning Baselines. The DLOC team has recently been named as a winner of a 2024 Catalyst Award for Diversity, Equality, Inclusion & Belonging. The award recognises the notable work of the University in fostering a digitally accessible environment.

About the Role

As a Learning Technologist you will work in partnership with stakeholders to deliver digital learning enhancements to improve the student experience, exemplifying excellence in digital curriculum development, working to support the University's objectives for the adoption, application, and evaluation of appropriate digital learning technologies for learning, teaching and assessment. This is a full time role and is a fixed term contract for 9.5 months. The anticipated interview date is Tuesday 6th May 2025.

About You

You will have in-depth knowledge of digital learning and of promoting and embedding the use of technology to enhance the student learning experience. You will have a proven track record of teaching and/or conducting training workshops in the application of learning technologies; ideally in a Higher Education (HE) context. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, we value resilience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Your motivation, patience, and ability to remain calm under pressure will ensure you excel in this role.
