Job Overview

EC&I Partners are seeking a Compex Electrician to work on wastewater treatment sites in Ellesmere Port, Liverpool and Manchester. The role involves working in hazardous areas, installing, maintaining, and inspecting electrical systems to ensure compliance with ATEX regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
  • Work with Ex-rated equipment, including motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ATEX & IECEx regulations and industry best practices.
  • Perform fault finding, testing, and routine maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and site teams to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports.

Requirements

  • Compex certification (EX01 – EX04 minimum) – essential.
  • Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
  • Experience in industrial environments, preferably water/wastewater treatment.
  • ECS/CSCS card (essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
