LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority shared service, based in the South-East of England, for an experienced Lawyer to handle a caseload of complex cases within SEN and education. You will primarily handle SEN Tribunal cases, with minimal supervision, undertaking advocacy in case management hearings and final hearings in the first tier SEND Tribunal. This is a full-time and permanent role with a hybrid working policy.

Previous UK local government experience is an essential requirement – at least 2 years’ PQE with experience of conducting case files, drafting pleadings and witness statements.

  • An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with minimum 2 years’ PQE
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a complex caseload of SEN/education matters in a UK local government environment
  • Able to conduct advocacy
  • Able to attend the office on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week
