As a Design Engineer, you’ll support the planning and delivery of civil and network design projects across the clean and wastewater sectors. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver investigation and design activities for water infrastructure projects to meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and prepare technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Integrate innovative methods, materials, and sustainable design practices into your work.
- Support the production of reports and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with CDM, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with land access and statutory requirements in collaboration with clients.
- Capture and compile documentation for H&S files and project completions.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in water/wastewater systems and civil engineering. You should be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience of Design in a Civils environment is a MUST
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater network systems and MEICAT components
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D and GIS software
- Familiarity with network modelling tools (training can be provided)
- Awareness of process safety standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
