Due to significant growth, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Plater to join our team.
The Role:
- Cut, shape, and assemble steel plate components with precision.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize fabrication machines, including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters, to process materials.
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure all work meets quality standards and aligns with technical drawings.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Participate in the development of templates and jigs for repetitive tasks to ensure consistent quality.
- Be flexible to respond to emergency situations and unplanned repairs outside of normal working hours, including on-call duties and potential night shifts.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in using fabrication equipment such as drilling machines, rolling machines, and guillotines.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working with steel metals and familiarity with various fabrication methods.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
