The Role: The Construction Engineer ensures the safe, efficient execution of onshore and offshore projects by developing construction plans, managing work packs, and providing technical leadership. This role focuses on safety, constructability, and adherence to budgets, schedules, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safe execution of onshore/offshore construction activities in line with HSE policies.
- Develop and integrate construction plans into site schedules.
- Prepare, review, and manage detailed construction work packs.
- Lead offshore construction supervisors and provide technical guidance.
- Execute pre-commissioning/testing activities such as flushing, cleaning, and E&I tests.
- Optimize access methods, ensure material mobilization, and track procurement.
- Drive digitization efforts with electronic work packs and progress reporting.
- Ensure quality through audits, inspections, and compliance with standards.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- NVQ/C&G in construction or technical discipline required.
- Extensive construction and project delivery experience in oil & gas.
- Strong understanding of HSE, technical execution, and UK regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in QA/QC processes and client-contractor relationship management.
