Graduate /Junior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services / MEP) Portsmouth, Hampshire – Hybrid £28k to £32k + Benefits MEP Electrical Design Engineer / Building Services / Graduate Electrical Design Engineer / Junior Electrical Design Engineer This role is to join a highly successful, award-winning firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering. They work on some of the largest and highest profile construction projects in the industry with leading architects, designers and contractors and have an excellent reputation for delivery, quality and reliability of their services. You\’ll feel like a trusted member of the team from day and will receive ongoing support and training to develop your skills and career as a Electrical Design Engineer. Responsibilities * To work alongside experienced Electrical design engineers assisting with the preparation of outline design schemes * Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress * Ensuring services conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards * Production of drawings under the direction of Engineers * Assisting with the checking of documents and carrying out detailed calculations * Undertaking duties as indicated by senior engineers to obtain experience and training in Electrical Engineering * To work with a focus on low carbon design. Qualifications * MEng / BEng in Electrical Engineering is essential * A desire to develop a career within building services design * High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc) * Proficient in various software’s or the ability to learn software fast. * A driving licence is essential for this role
