Our client is a leading supplier of automated vehicle wash systems and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.
The field service engineer will undertake machine installations, maintenance and repair work throughout England & Wales.
The Role:
Reporting to the service manager you will be responsible for mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
- Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault find and repair work
- Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
- Ensure accurate visit reports including details of work undertaken/completed is recorded on the computer system
Candidate:
You will be a competent engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical and mechanical fault find and repair skills.
Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and previous work experience with vehicle wash systems would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
Applicants with 18th edition or recognised electrical engineering qualification will have an advantage.
You will be computer literate and you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable with working outdoors.
