Bletchley Park Trust is a registered charity, award-winning museum and a vibrant heritage attraction. Open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The mission of the Bletchley Park Trust is to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park's crucial role in World War Two.

The Trust has been successful in an application for funding from the government's Museum Estate and Development (MEND) Fund to undertake external repairs, remove asbestos and reinstall access to the roof of the historic Mansion, and replace the aged boilers in the Mansion and Block E with air source heat pumps.

We are recruiting a Site Manager to support in the delivery of this project on time, in budget and achieving the required quality. Reporting to the Head of Site Works, this role will be a daily presence onsite, managing the contractors, minimising any impact of visitors and protecting the historic buildings.

The successful candidate will be organised and an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships, and maintain daily communications with contractors and internal stakeholders. You will be able to work under pressure, responding effectively to issues as they arise and able to find appropriate solutions.

You will have reporting responsibilities and be proficient in using Word and Excel and messaging on Microsoft Teams.

We are looking for an individual with demonstrable Site Manager experience, and a SMSTS qualification. You should be able to quickly grasp the mechanics of the new heating solution. Experience of working in listed buildings is essential.

This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting immediately. You will be based on site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes. Working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday, starting at 8.00am. Applications for part time hours of 32.5 hours per week, 6.5 hours per day will also be considered.

In return, you will receive a salary in the region of £50,000 (pro-rata if part time) per annum, along with a company pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan and 33 days (pro-rata if part time) holiday per annum, including statutory holidays.
