General Summary: Mood Media are looking for an experienced Music Supervisor to join our international curation team based in London. A Music Supervisor is responsible for creating music programs that capture the essence of a brand or an experience design concept. The Music Supervisor is tasked directly with the creation and ongoing maintenance of catalog music programs and custom designed music programs for a variety of brands, audiences, and platforms. Music Supervisors must be creatively focused. This person must be fluent in English & French.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing research in music, lifestyle, and business trends, particularly that which is relevant to the international market.
  • Stay abreast of music and industry trends, using that knowledge to provide informed creative programming decisions on client projects and ongoing updates to our music program catalog.
  • Conceptualize and manage branded custom music concepts for national and global corporate clients.
  • Interact with Account Directors and Client Service Managers to recommend the best music solutions for clients as needed.
  • Participate on client imaging calls, brand discovery and music workshops for business development/sales initiatives where required to support new client acquisitions.
  • Produce high-quality models, demos, and documentation to support proposed custom music strategies and music program designs.
  • Seek to pursue constant avenues of quality control and ongoing programming excellence.
  • Master all systems used by Mood Media to create and deliver assigned music programming.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • University degree (4-year) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in creating branded or consumer experiences with music.
  • Based in the UK, commutable to London.
  • Fluent in English & French.

  • Strong independent research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creative & flexible thinking, an open mind, and good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to set priorities and handle multiple objectives in constrained time frames.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple genres of music, including contemporary and/or global styles.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of nuanced music design concepts, brand marketing and pop culture trends particularly within the European market.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and understand client brand, target demographics to create and propose music strategy and programming design that supports an ideal customer experience.
  • Experience in presenting creative concepts to clients in person and remotely.
  • Highly familiar with digital production and/or content management systems and technologies.
  • Ability to participate successfully in a team environment that works both in office and remotely.
  • Ability to interact decisively and diplomatically.
  • Ability to work successfully within a multinational, fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Comfort with computers and popular software applications.
  • Ability to listen to music for extended periods of time.
