Are you a skilled Gate Engineer with a passion for security systems and automation? Our client is a well-established security solutions provider based in the UK. Since its inception in 1992, the company has been delivering expert safety and security services across London and the South East, with additional advisory support offered nationwide.
We're looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join their growing team of professionals delivering top-tier automated gate and access control solutions across residential and commercial properties.
What You’ll Do:- Install, service, and repair a wide range of automated gates, barriers, and access systems (sliding, swing, bollards, and speed lanes)
- Integrate systems with access control, CCTV, and intercoms
- Perform preventative maintenance checks, fault-finding, and emergency call-outs
- Provide technical guidance to clients and junior team members
- Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry safety and compliance standards
- Accurately complete job reports and documentation
- Proven experience as a Gate Engineer or similar role in the security systems industry
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with major brands like FAAC, BFT, CAME, NICE, DEA
- Ability to read technical diagrams and wiring schematics
- Valid UK driving licence
- CSCS/ECS card or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and support an on-call rota
- Experience with Paxton, Hikvision, Videx, or other access control systems
- Knowledge of IP networking
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- IPAF or PASMA certification
