Position: A-Level Physics Tutor

Location: North London

Contract Type: Fixed-term for the academic year 2025-26

Working Hours: 8:00am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a passionate and academically strong Physics graduate to join an outstanding Sixth-Form College as an A-Level Physics Tutor. This role is perfect for someone considering a career in education and keen to make a positive impact on the lives of ambitious young pupils.

About the Role

You will support high-achieving sixth form students through one-to-one tutoring, small group sessions, and overall classroom assistance. You will help students strengthen their understanding of Physics, prepare for university entrance (including Oxbridge), and build confidence in their academic skills.

You'll also contribute to wider academic development, offering guidance on study skills, time management, and revision strategies. A tailored training and mentoring programme is provided, including opportunities to observe and lead teaching sessions. In your second year, there may be a route to gain a formal teaching qualification.

Ideal Candidate

  • Recent graduate with a strong Physics (or related) degree
  • Excellent A-Level results including Maths and Physics
  • Passionate about education, social mobility, and youth development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with young people (preferred)
  • Committed, empathetic, and enthusiastic
