Director Of Operations / Talent Resourcing at DiverseJobsMatter

As a Business Analyst within the Project Management Office (PMO), you will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of projects and business change initiatives. Your key responsibilities include collecting and articulating business requirements, translating them into functional processes, and communicating these requirements to stakeholders. You’ll conduct impact and options analysis, lead on user acceptance testing, and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence. Your role is integral to evolving the business analysis capability within the PMO and supporting our vision of becoming an enabling business partner to the organisation.

Major objectives

Your major objectives will include:

  • Provide business analysis support for projects within the PMO, ensuring all business change initiatives are thoroughly supported.
  • Collect and articulate business requirements across business units, translating them into functional processes and software requirements.
  • Lead efforts to simplify and enhance business rules and processes, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  • Conduct impact and options analysis for business case content where required, supporting project-related decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical sections of the organisation, ensuring project requirements are translated effectively.
  • Lead or support user acceptance testing by reviewing test cases and supporting the design and execution of test scripts and scenarios.
  • Continually review and evolve the Business Analysis framework to ensure it is fit for purpose.

What are we looking for?

  • Proficient in business analysis techniques and process improvement approaches such as Lean.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently with strong self-organisation and time management skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with diagramming packages such as Visio.
  • Substantial experience in business analysis, delivering analysis for a significant portfolio of projects and programmes, and running workshops with key stakeholders.
  • Professional Business Analyst qualification such as CBAP/PMI-PBA or equivalent is essential. A degree-level education is desirable.
