At Bidwells, we’re looking for a Rural Partner to lead and manage a portfolio of private estates, delivering expert management, strategic advice, and business growth initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in a respected and ambitious firm that values innovation, collaboration, and professional excellence.
The Rural team at Bidwells manages, consults, and offers strategic advice on over a million acres of farmland and estates across the country, working with some of the UK's top-performing rural businesses and landowners including Cambridge and Oxford colleges, pension funds, charities and companies. Our Cambridge office is home to our biggest rural team across our 11 sites and is one of the largest rural teams in the UK. Within the 60 strong team there is a vast array of knowledge coming from graduates through to equity partners. We pride ourselves on the progression and development we offer our people and within Rural, this is no exception. The team specialise in estate and farm strategy and management, professional work, diversification, rural agency, and natural capital and biodiversity net gain.
What You’ll Do
- Manage & Develop Private Estate Portfolios – Build strong, long-term client relationships, delivering tailored management and professional services.
- Drive Business Growth – Identify new opportunities, win new clients, and contribute to the evolution of our department’s business strategy.
- Market & Industry Leadership – Stay ahead of rural market trends, ensuring best-in-class advice and services.
- Collaborate & Innovate – Work closely with teams across Bidwells, including Planning, Commercial, and Residential, to deliver a joined-up service.
- Lead & Mentor – Inspire, develop, and guide a high-performing team, fostering a culture of success and growth.
What We’re Looking For
- RICS Qualified rural professional with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Proven leadership & relationship management skills, able to inspire teams and build lasting client connections.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation.
- A collaborative approach, working across teams to deliver exceptional client service.
- Experience in managing Rural Estates for Private Clients.
- Ambitious, passionate and motivated.
We will pay our successful hire a competitive salary as well as a car allowance, bonus and group profit bonus scheme. This role will also come with extensive benefits and the opportunity to develop into a more senior role in the future.
