My client is looking for an MEP Design Engineer to join their team covering various sites in Kent, London & Surrey. This will be covering MOD, Education, Healthcare, & Commercial work. As the MEP Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the full mechanical and electrical design process – from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction coordination. You’ll work closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring all building services designs are efficient, compliant, and deliverable.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MEP systems for a variety of building types
- Produce calculations, schematics, layouts, and technical specifications
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to inform design work and resolve issues
- Liaise with clients, architects, and the wider project team to coordinate MEP services
- Review and approve subcontractor designs and ensure integration with main works
- Ensure designs comply with current regulations, sustainability goals, and security protocols (especially on MOD projects)
- Provide technical support throughout the construction phase
The ideal candidate will be:
- Strong experience in MEP design within the construction or building services industry
- Comfortable working across multiple sectors, especially healthcare, education, commercial, and secure sites
