We are currently looking for an experienced Wide Format Print and Finishing Technician to join our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Operate and maintain wide format and flatbed UV printers, including HP Roll-to-Roll and Canon Flatbed UV systems.
- Perform precision finishing work using Zünd cutting/creasing, Summa vinyl cutting, laminating, and flatbed application (pneumatic).
- Ensure colour consistency and exceptional print quality across all jobs.
- Set up, calibrate, and clean machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
- Inspect files for print-readiness and flag potential production issues before printing.
- Keep accurate records of jobs and materials and maintain stock levels of print media and finishing supplies.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, keeping the production area clean and organised.
- Work with the production team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process efficiencies and quality enhancements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in wide format printing and finishing, preferably in a commercial print environment.
- In-depth knowledge of print production processes, file preparation, and colour management.
- Ability to interpret and work from detailed job sheets and artwork specifications.
- Familiarity with RIP software and digital print workflows (e.g. Caldera, Onyx, or similar).
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to technical challenges.
- Capable of working independently and managing time effectively under tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
- Physically fit and capable of handling materials and operating finishing machinery safely.
