Continuous Improvement Manager – Leicester site Our client is a major UK FMCG supplier creating and manufacturing high quality consumer products. Their story and growth trajectory is very impressive together with a very strong leadership team they continue to lead the categories in which they operate. The operational structure has evolved massively over the last 5 years with considerable investment and state of the art manufacturing across the estate. A new role is available for a Continuous Improvement Manager ( CI Manager) who will implement and deliver an effective CI structure which engages with every member of the site and delivers a real culture change in operations driving to World Class Standards. Key aspects and responsibilities * Work across all site functions to identify improvement opportunities using standard lean tools such as VSM, 5S, Problem Solving, SIC, visual management standards. * Drive continuous improvement culture in all site employees, ensuring a high level of engagement. * Support the operational teams to ensure sustaining processes are managed and live across site. * Working collectively with the site management team to achieve wider site goals, participating in site management meetings & reviews. * Identify through data analysis, improvement opportunities to propose to the Operations manager * Monthly reports, action plans and communications to demonstrate progression on improvement activities. * Using 5s principles, implement a high standard of visual management in all process areas identifying easily if a process is in or out of control parameters. * Project manage all improvement activities within standard framework. * Drive a culture of Safety-First behaviours in all aspects of your role. * Demonstrate leadership in safety as a core value through your actions * Adopt a “never walk by” policy in safety management and leadership * Actively contribute to the company safety management system Key qualifications and experience * Excellent people, communication, team building and organisational skills essential. * Proficient in Adaptive Coaching skills of listening, asking and responding. * Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Black Belt or similar CI / WCM formal training * Experience in FMCG Manufacturing would be desirable * Is familiar with and personally respects EHS procedures * Sets high standards of performance and makes sure they are respected If you are interested in discussing this brief and seeing the role profile and learning more about the business and future opportunities please apply now to Andrew Osbaldeston of Always Candid
