About the Role
BAE Systems Submarines is recruiting a Systems Engineer to join the Engineering team working on-site at David Brown Defence. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role supports critical systems engineering and requirements management activities for product development across the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in systems engineering and requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS).
- Define, maintain, and promote systems engineering processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Deliver regular training sessions to Engineering teams on tool usage and methodologies.
- Manage product requirement sets and engineering risk registers.
- Support integration with cross-functional platforms such as SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure engineering development is aligned with the Product Lifecycle and compliance with quality standards.
