At Down To Earth, we’re currently looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join our growing team and support operations at our Farnham Quarry & Landfill.
Location: Farnham, Surrey.
Job Type: Full Time (Permanent)
Main Duties:
- Accurately weigh vehicles entering and exiting the site.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including vehicle identification, weight measurements, and time of entry/exit.
- Carry out inductions for visitors to the site.
- Collaborate closely with our onsite quarry team and office staff.
- Understand and adhere to the site permit to ensure all waste types brought to site are acceptable.
- Deliver outstanding front-line customer service.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer skills.
- Ability to get to and from site.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous weighbridge experience is a bonus, but not essential – full training will be provided.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:30pm
Salary: Starting Salary - £30,250.00 per annum
28 days annual leave per year (incl Bank Holidays)
