About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Yard Manager to take charge of a busy builders merchant yard in Watford. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all goods in/out, including loading, unloading, and handling of materials
- Supervise, support, and lead a team of yard staff to maintain performance and safety
- Ensure accurate stock management and efficient movement of materials
- Keep the yard in Watford clean, well-organised, and compliant with safety standards
- Provide excellent service to customers visiting the Watford site
- Conduct regular checks to ensure adherence to all health and safety procedures
- Produce activity reports and contribute to the overall efficiency of the yard
What's Required:
- Proven experience in a Yard Manager or similar supervisory role within a builders merchant or similar environment
- Strong team leadership and communication skills

- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (required)
- Comfortable with manual handling and using yard equipment
- Basic IT skills for stock and reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence may be required
