A successful manufacturing business requires a Buyer. An exciting end-to-end supply chain position, the Buyer will work across purchasing, inventory control, planning and expediting.

The Buyer will join a busy and supportive procurement team, reporting into a Purchasing & Logistics Manager. A broad and exciting supply chain role, the Buyer will provide support to the business and team across all areas of purchasing.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:

  • Management of Purchase Order process - raise and place purchase orders ensuring accuracy
  • Supplier interactions - ensure orders are confirmed and expedite overdue or late deliveries
  • Procurement - monitor MOQ, safety stock levels and re-order points
  • Inventory Management - monitor stock and inventory levels, escalating shortages
  • Production Planning - Support Production Planning and liaise with subcontract partners
  • Process Improvement - look to improve processes across the purchasing and logistics function

Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing, materials, logistics or supply chain role
  • Exposure to an MRP/ERP system is advantageous
  • Communication and relationship building skills
  • Detailed and precise
