Hatched Talent is proud to be partnering with a reputable domestic building company to find a skilled and hands-on Working Foreman (Carpenter) to lead and collaborate with a small team on a variety of residential building projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced tradesperson with a background in carpentry or general building, who is ready to step up and take ownership of site operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Role Objective
To deliver domestic construction projects efficiently - on time, on spec, and within budget - while leading from the front with practical skills and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry and general building tasks as part of daily site activities
- Supervise and coordinate trades and subcontractors to maintain workflow and site standards
- Oversee quality control to ensure projects meet the highest workmanship standards
- Ensure site operations comply with all health and safety regulations
- Assist in site logistics, materials ordering, and supplier coordination
- Monitor progress and budgets, making sure projects are delivered on time and within cost parameters
- Lead regular bi-weekly check-ins with apprentices, offering mentorship and support
- Proactively solve on-site challenges and keep project momentum strong
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in carpentry and/or general building
- Previous leadership experience on-site, ideally supervising small teams
