Smart Environmental Support Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an Account Manager (Recruiter) to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in the Wakefield area. Working within a manufacturing environment, the Account Manager/Recruiter will be responsible for Client and Candidate engagement, streamlining communication between the recruitment team and the production team, whilst also recruiting and managing the onsite flexible workforce.

The Role: To ensure the smooth running of this well-established recycling facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff rotas, sickness, and holiday.
  • Recruiting new candidates and managing a pool of candidates to ensure the plant is fully staffed at all times.
  • Ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction and upholding the Company’s reputation for excellent service and compliance.
  • Becoming an expert in the sector, learning all aspects of the business to recruit, train, and support the best workforce.

Overview:

  • Monitoring employee performance, particularly pick rates, Health and Safety, and general conduct.
  • Ensuring that all staff are well trained and motivated to meet operational objectives.
  • Driving continuous improvement in pick rates, screen cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.
  • Ensuring that all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Identifying changes in material quality and reacting accordingly to ensure that quality and production are not compromised.
  • Managing and dealing with non-compliance and breaches of Health and Safety on shift.
  • Maintaining site Health, Safety, and Environmental standards to a high standard.

Administration:

  • Recording and filing information.
  • Creating reports for daily operation purposes.
  • Providing holiday cover as required by the site.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a recruitment background is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
  • Understanding of waste and recycling collection operations is an advantage.
  • Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent level of English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Very good level of numeracy.
  • Ability to multitask while under pressure.
  • Flexible, adaptable approach is essential.
