Job description: Were recruiting HGV Skilled Mechanic We are recruiting for a HGV Skilled Mechanic within the Transport department at MMI Distribution Depot in Bristol. The purpose of this role is to supportexpansion of workshops and manage fleet repairs inhouse for the Group. Contract Full Time / Permanent Shift Pattern – Monday – Friday (Days) Location – Bristol HGV Technician Role & Responsibilities: To Inspect and maintain our HGV Fleet to comply with Legal & Company standards. Prepare vehicles for MOT Testing and transport to Test Centre. To record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle. Repair Minor Accident Damage. Carry out Fault Diagnosis. Actively seek solutions to problems. Provides excellent customer service at all times. Working on a variety of Units, Rigids, Trailers and Tail lifts Upskilling – HGV Class 1 training, and Forklift licence training after Probationary period HGV Technician Key Skills & Experience Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable Works well both independently and in a team Manages deadlines well and understands how to prioritise a workload A positive thinking and self-motivated individual An effective team member who works well on their own initiative Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs) HGV Technician Qualifications Commercial experience on HGVs isessential City & Guilds part 1 & 2 &3/ BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry Benefits Weekly pay £19.29 per hour Overtime paid at x1.125 basic rate Saturday paid at x1.125basic rate, Sunday paid at x2 basic rate Additional 14.25%uplift of base rate for unsociable hours worked between 6PM 4AM Customary/Public Holidays paid at x1.5 A competitive salary, weekly paid X2 Life Assurance 4% Company Match Pension Access to the Mller Rewards discount scheme offering over 800 discounts online and in-store and the potential to make savings across grocery and clothes shopping, holidays, insurance, gifts and more Have pride in what you achieve as a member of a team Free onsite secured colleague car parking JBRP1_UKTJ
