Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
  • Manage and organise case files, both electronic and physical.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Maintain attorney calendars and track important deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist with billing and timekeeping.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, copying, and answering phones.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools and ideally have experience in Big Hand Digital dictation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
