The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Must be experienced in working in a social housing environment and dealing with customers. To undertake Joinery repairs, maintenance, renovations and installations; other skilled maintenance operations and to support other trade staff in the effective completion of repairs, maintenance and other building operations to property and buildings managed by Derby Homes.
To undertake all joinery repairs, maintenance and renovations identified within the housing stock, schools and public buildings. To carry out new joinery related installations (1st and 2nd fix). To interpret detailed design drawings and specifications.
By using your own initiative, resolve any minor or routine technical difficulties on site, liaising with your management as required. To maintain vehicle stock levels at optimum level so that service efficiency is achieved. Work within an appointment system including liaising with customers.
To submit all worksheets and documents relating to job (electronically or by paper) within the required timescales. To effectively contribute to the provision of accurate records for time, SOR and materials to each work order, including the effective receipting of all material advice notes.
Participate as a Joiner in the delivery of an effective out of hours emergency repair service on a rota system.
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided is maintained at an adequate level in serviceable condition and always used when and where appropriate.
- To ensure that all works are completed within the current performance and service standards of Derby Homes.
- To ensure a customer focused approach is adopted in all aspects of the service.
- To attend toolbox talks/ staff briefings as and when required with internal and external bodies.
- To participate in the induction training and mentoring of new employees and apprentices/trainees allocated to the section.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow safe working practices using a range of tools associated with your job roles.
- Report all accidents and/or hazardous occurrences.
