Suttons International, a family-owned global logistics business, is seeking a Workshop Technician to join our Widnes Head Office Depot. You will be joining our existing vessel and workshop teams, working Monday to Friday 17:00 - 16:30.

The Role
Carrying out essential vessel maintenance including periodic vessel testing, repairs, monitoring, and reporting, you'll play a fundamental part in ensuring our testing procedures are followed putting safety first. This is a great opportunity for someone new to the Tanker industry to learn from a team working in a safe and clean environment using high spec equipment. This role is open to someone who has a mechanical background or is comfortable and confident being in a hands-on job role.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring Periodic Vessel Testing is completed in line with our Safe Operating Procedure.
- Carrying out running defect repairs.
- Diagnosing faults.
- Working on General Purpose and Gas tanks.
- Purging out of flammable vessels.
- Repairs to Pneumatic operating systems.
- Access to the inside of vessels to carry out inspections and repairs.
There will be exceptional opportunities to be trained in Working at Height, Manual Handling, Confined Space, Breathing Apparatus, Permit Writing, Abrasive Wheels and Rescue from Tank where required.
Note: All offers of employment are subject to a Basic DBS check, Drugs and Alcohol Testing.
