Chartered Wealth Planner Location: Hybrid (Remote / Stafford Office / Client Meetings) Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive The Role: Our client, a prestigious wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced **Chartered Wealth Planner** to join their successful office in Stafford. You will take over an existing book of clients while playing a key role in managing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients alongside supporting the Partners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to professionally interact with a small number of UHNW clients (£10m+ portfolios) and will be expected to grow into leading these relationships independently. The role also involves contributing to business development activities with the Partners, with the aim of eventually handling new client acquisition on your own. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious financial planner to grow and develop in a high-caliber environment, supporting the delivery of sophisticated financial planning services for UHNW clients. Key Responsibilities: – Supporting Partners in delivering financial planning services to UHNW clients, including: – Opening SIPP accounts and generating illustrations – Pension consolidations, transfers, and switches – Pension contribution reporting and advisory work – Analyzing and advising on offshore bonds – Understanding and advising on trusts – Managing client relationships to independently oversee some UHNW clients. – Business development: actively seeking out new client opportunities alongside Partners, and later independently. Skills & Experience: – Desirable – Qualified Pension Specialist (holding either the Certificate in Pension Transfer Advice or the CII Unit AF7 Award). – Level 6 Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice. – Experience in providing financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients (with cases of £1m+). – Strong technical knowledge in financial planning, particularly pensions and offshore bonds, with the ability to handle all but the most complex cases without supervision. – Exceptional interpersonal skills and credibility when dealing with UHNW clients. – A keen eye for detail, with the motivation to deliver outstanding results for clients. – Self-driven, with the ability to work autonomously. – No existing client base is required.
