A well-known, market leading healthcare firm is looking for an Indirect Buyer to support the delivery of strategic sourcing on a designated range of cross-functional projects. As a buyer, you will run point on end-to-end sourcing across a variety of indirect subcategories, provide support to and develop numerous stakeholder relationships, and enable cost reduction across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your procurement experience in a diverse range of indirect subcategories, whilst being mentored and supported by a dedicated team in the Procurement function, who will invest in your professional development.
What the role involves:
- Developing sourcing strategies and supporting projects for Indirect subcategories, such as HR, hard and soft FM, Business Services, and Non-Clinical Products.
- Undertaking administrative activities to ensure the effective functioning of the Procurement team.
- Executing management of supplier contracts, to ensure strong working relationships are maintained.
- Executing end-to-end tendering across a range of Indirect subcategories.
The person we hope to find:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a buyer role, with experience of supporting on procurement in an Indirect category.
- Proactive and enthusiastic.
- Strong numeric, analytical, verbal and reasoning skills; capable of developing creative solutions to problems using market insight.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Relevant degree (desirable).
Salary and benefits:
Up to £40,000 + pension + holidays + bonus + hybrid working & much more.
