Lantra is seeking to appoint a Director of Awarding and Development to lead continued growth of high-quality training and qualification products and services across the land-based industries. Lantra is a leading awarding body in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, developing quality training courses and nationally recognised qualifications that are delivered through a national network of accredited training Providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Director of Awarding and Development will be responsible for ensuring that Lantra has a suite of products and a nationwide delivery network, to meet the training needs of employers and individuals in our sector.
- Work closely with Lantra’s Heads of Industry to understand and anticipate industry’s training and qualification needs.
- Manage the product development function to keep the current portfolio up to date, develop new products to address identified gaps, and maintain and quality assure a network of accredited instructors/assessors to deliver Lantra products.
- Drive growth by increasing brand awareness and effectively communicating the benefits of Lantra products.
- Continue to develop Lantra market-leading End-Point Assessment Service for English land-based apprenticeships.

The Director of Awarding and Development will be:
- A commercially astute individual with a clear understanding of the awarding body environment, customer metrics, stakeholder management & negotiation skills.
- Experienced and able to identify opportunities to drive growth through developing and implementing a commercial strategy that adds demonstrable value to the business.
- A demonstrable leader, effective at building successful teams, able to inspire, motivate and communicate at all levels to provide united direction and cohesive leadership.
- An outgoing, proven capacity for networking, able to build and develop effective professional relationships with key industry players and policymakers.
Essential Experience:
- Leadership within a regulated Awarding Body, Education or Membership environment, Demonstrable understanding and track record experience of operating with similar product portfolios.
- A working knowledge of qualification regulatory requirements.
- Candidates with experience or exposure to one or more of these markets will benefit greatly in the role.
Location: Lantra HQ is based in Warwickshire. Hybrid-working available.
