Our client, which is wholly owned by a global energy company, performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support to businesses worldwide. An Installation Engineer is required to support the client’s activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the Naval and Marine Operation discipline.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting follow-up, engineering review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FLNG, FPSO and subsea structures T&I activities.
- Preparation of T&I Scope of Works, Technical specifications for Installation and Pre-Commissioning, External Interface and Responsibility Matrix, Installation Schedules for sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, floaters, subsea structures and fixed platforms installation.
- Identification of Marine spread minimum requirements for a successful and safe installation of offshore structures.
- Preparation of installation outline procedures to be provided as reference for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercial quotation.
- Monitoring, follow-on and review of execution projects installation engineering.
- Providing assistance to Company during Technical Clarification meetings, projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries and Offshore Management of change.
The candidate must be highly experienced in preparation of ITTs and follow-up of offshore transportation and installation contracts, particularly relevant to fixed platforms, sealines, risers, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO and subsea structures. Significant experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPCI of T&I projects and ability to interface with other disciplines is essential.
Seagoing experience as an Installation Contractor, Project Operation Engineer and/or Company Representative for the offshore installation and pre-commissioning of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG and subsea structures is required. Good knowledge of technologies, vessels and equipment used for loading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook up of subsea and offshore structures is necessary. Knowledge of offshore installation international rules for installation of offshore structures is also important.
Yard experience of offshore structures preparation for the installation, mechanical completion and load-out would be a major advantage for this position. OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable to cover this position.
