Join a dynamic and high-performance legal team at a highly regarded elite US law firm working at the forefront of UK and EU competition and foreign investment regulation.
This Associate role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with a senior partner focused on advising clients involved in complex cross-border transactions, strategic investments, and regulatory investigations.
As part of this team, you will be involved in a wide array of advisory and transactional work related to antitrust and competition matters, including:
- Supporting multi-jurisdictional merger reviews and foreign direct investment assessments
- Advising on conduct investigations and issues involving commercial practices such as supply chain structuring and distribution strategies
- Providing legal guidance on the competition aspects of private equity and corporate transactions—ranging from mergers and acquisitions to secondaries and consortium deals
- Navigating clients through the UK’s National Security and Investment Act and similar regimes globally
You’ll gain experience across diverse industries such as consumer goods, technology and communications, financial services, and healthcare. The role also includes significant interaction with regulatory bodies, including the Competition and Markets Authority and the European Commission, as well as regulators in other key jurisdictions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded competition lawyer to grow their expertise in a fast-paced, international environment with exposure to both behavioral and transactional advisory work.
Requirements:
- A 1-6PQE Lawyer, probably currently practicing in London at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, international or peer US firm, with a strong academic background.
- E&W Qualified or experience working in Brussels.
