The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Our client is an Auctioneers and Valuers holding exclusive auctions of privately owned fine jewellery, silver, ceramics & glass, paintings, decorative works of art, luxury goods and antiques. Due to a recent move to a brand-new saleroom and expansion, this is an exciting time to be part of the company and lead the valuations team. The successful candidate will be a key figure in business getting for the auctions, and will work with the Founding Director on developing the auctions, assisting to manage and oversee the sales and co-ordinate the valuations, as well as liaising with clients every day. They should have good leadership qualities, be efficient, and have a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating and conducting Probate and Insurance valuations
- Day to day management of a small valuations team
- Working towards and meeting annual sales targets
- Conducting online and in-person valuations
- Responsible for business development across all areas, sourcing new collections and increasing turnover
- Exploring new ways to increase sales, initiating valuations/marketing events
- Cataloguing regular and fine auctions
- Working with Founding Director to increase business development
- Working as part of the team to ensure that we continue to achieve the exceptional service and results that we are known for
Requirements:
- Highly experienced in cataloguing and valuing across all areas
- Some management skills or demonstrated leadership qualities
- Experienced in carrying out Probate and Insurance valuations
- Auctioneer experience would be an advantage
- Computer literate, experience with ATG Toolbox and bidding platform advantageous
- Excellent customer skills, team player and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Passionate, diligent and possess excellent written and communication skills
- Full, clean driving licence and use of own vehicle
