The client specializes in creating premium, breaded and battered products. Their offerings include products which are available in multiple pack sizes, catering to both retail and catering needs.
The role will be to work within the Retail team managing and growing the existing customer base, whilst identifying and opening up new business opportunities in the frozen and chilled food sectors.
- Relationship Management – Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key retail accounts to enhance sales performance and increase market share.
- Account Management – Oversee the daily operations of retail accounts and maintain close relationships with buyers, serving as the internal advocate for the customer.
- Sales Support – Assist the retail sales team by providing administrative support and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Product Expertise – Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product range, including raw materials and production processes, positioning yourself as a subject matter expert.
- Sales Strategy Alignment – Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align on and execute business growth strategies.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis – Monitor account performance, key KPIs, and sales forecasts, providing regular reporting and actionable insights.
- Promotional Planning – Partner with internal teams and customers to create impactful promotional strategies and sales initiatives that drive business growth.
- Customer Presentations – Deliver compelling business reviews, sales forecasts, and product presentations—including food demos—that showcase the clients product range professionally and persuasively.
- Business Development – Identify gaps and opportunities within retail accounts to support strategic growth and expand sales.
- P&L Analysis – Continuously evaluate account profitability and performance, leveraging data-driven insights to make informed recommendations.
Ideally you will be based on site. However, there is the potential opportunity for Hybrid working. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in selling to and managing/supporting FMCG retailer relationships. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential. Major food brand experience is desirable.
