A large multi-disciplinary consultancy that specialises in transforming the quality and sustainability of the built environment, are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them. The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to develop and refine engineering expertise through a diverse portfolio of projects. Candidates will engage with all stages of the RIBA plan of work, tackling both new construction and refurbishment initiatives. The team’s structure provides tailored mentoring and coaching, aligned with individual development, enabling professionals to enhance their knowledge and practical experience. Projects span all sectors of the construction industry, encouraging cross-pollination of ideas and innovative problem-solving to redefine standards and deliver high-quality engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a design team to produce reports, specifications, and detailed design solutions.
  • Utilise specialist software, including CAD and BIM (Revit), to create compliant system designs.
  • Perform design calculations to ensure alignment with client requirements and project standards.
  • Conduct site surveys, inspections, and documentation for various stages of project delivery.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience in designing solutions from concept to completion, including calculations, drawings, and specifications aligned with RIBA stages and BSRIA BG6.
  • Relevant qualification in Building Services (degree, HNC, or HND).
  • Proficiency in Revit software is essential.
  • Experience with IES modelling is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

This role also supports professional development through a CIBSE-accredited mentoring scheme, enabling candidates to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration.
